The library’s New Jersey Reference Room has been renamed the
Clive S. Cummis New Jersey Reference Room as a result of a $100,000 gift by Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. Speaking at the room’s dedication, Steven E. Gross, chair of the firm, stated: “Clive was driven to succeed and that drive created one of the most successful law firms in New Jersey. It is our hope that this room will serve as a tribute to his amazing spirit.”
A
Class of 1978 alumnus has launched the C. Willard Heckel Scholarship at Rutgers School of Law–Newark with a $25,000 pledge. Scholarships will be awarded with an aim to recruit out-of-state students based on a combination of academic merit, financial need, and community service. This donor is hoping that other alums who had the honor of knowing Dean Heckel as a teacher, Dean, public servant, mediator, and friend will be encouraged to contribute to this fund.
