Rutgers-Newark alumnae/i
serve as members of both the federal and state judiciary and hold elected
and appointed political office at all levels of government. Others
are associated with leading law firms, corporations, and public interest
organizations in the tri-state area and in other metropolitan centers throughout
the country. Typically, 98 percent of graduates seeking employment
accept positions by the spring following graduation.
CLASS OF 2006 EMPLOYMENT
By February 2007, 209 of the 216 members
of the Class of 2006 reported their employment status to the Office of Career
Services. Of those graduates reporting their
status and seeking employment, approximately 98% of the Class of 2006 were employed (204 out of 209 students).
Two
students were not seeking employment and three students
were unemployed and still seeking a position.

Throughout the academic
year, legal employers from across the country recruit Rutgers-Newark law students
for summer and post-graduate positions. The nation's leading law firms
and government employers visit the law school to interview second and third
year students, participate in our resume referral program, and recruit students from all
