Women's Rights Litigation Clinic
(inactive 2007-08)
The Women's Rights Litigation Clinic is a six-credit clinic open to second and third-year students. Clinic students sharpen their strategic thinking, litigation skills and lawyerly judgment in their work on projects related to discrimination and other harms based on sex, sexual orientation and gender identity.
Litigation, administrative proceedings, legislative analysis and/or development of educational materials typically involve matters of harassment and discrimination in education, employment and housing.
The clinic has recently focused on the litigation of domestic violence issues. Clinic students work closely with volunteers from the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project, local shelters and domestic violence service providers in the community.
