Law School Adds Two Associate Directors of Development
Cindy Lou Cuesta and Hanna Schwartz have been appointed Senior Associate Directors of Development at Rutgers School of Law–Newark. They will work closely with Dean John J. Farmer, Jr. and Director of Development Ava Majlesi ’07 to advance the mission of the law school and increase financial support for student scholarships, faculty research, clinical activities, and new initiatives.
Cuesta joins the Rutgers Law development office after having worked as a development associate for the Opportunity Agenda. Previously she was with Community Access, Inc. where she directed agency-wide administrative and project support activities, including development department activities. Cuesta received a B.A. in world history from the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently a third-year evening student at Rutgers–Newark. As a research assistant to Clinical Professor Jennifer Rosen Valverde, she helped to coordinate and support an international exchange program between the law school and Ben Gurion University.
Schwartz is a 2004 graduate of the law school, where she was a Women in Federal Practice Scholar, a Dean’s Merit Scholar, managing editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, and a legal research and writing teaching assistant. Upon receiving her J.D., she worked as a litigation associate at Sills, Cummis & Gross P.C. and later at London Fischer LLP. Most recently she was a legal recruiter at Schneider Legal Search. She is a member of the Bars of New Jersey, New York, and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Schwartz received a B.A. in mathematics from Rutgers University.
