April 27 Panel to Consider Use by New Jersey Towns of Eminent Domain for Economic Redevelopment

April 26, 2006 – 
A distinguished panel of legal experts will convene at Rutgers School of Law–Newark on Thursday, April 27, to consider the ramifications in New Jersey of Kelo v. City of New London, CT. The U.S. Supreme Court 2005 decision upheld the right of government to take private property for economic development purposes. “After Kelo: Eminent Domain in New Jersey” is sponsored by the Friends of the Rutgers Law Library.
