Sidney Posel
Professor of Law Emeritus
Professor Posel received his A.B. and LL.B. from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was note editor of the
Law Review. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the London School of Economics and Thayer Teaching Fellow at Harvard Law School. After teaching at Stanford, he was in private practice in New York until he joined the Rutgers faculty in 1960. He served as a consultant in the revision of the New Jersey Business Corporation Law and as the reporter for the New Jersey Uniform Consumer Credit Code Study Commission. Professor Posel taught Legal Accounting, Commercial Law, Banking Law, and Consumer Protection.
