“Perfecting Our Union” is the theme of this year’s Fiesta con Sabor, to be presented on Thursday, February 18, 2010 by the Association of Latin American Law Students (ALALS). U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, Class of 1979, and New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Roberto A. Rivera-Soto will be the keynote speakers. The program also will honor the accomplishments and contributions to the legal community of Albert J. Alvarez ’01, deputy chief of staff to former Gov. Jon Corzine; Marvin Adames ’98, Chief Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Newark; and Camelia Valdes ’96, Passaic County Prosecutor.
All sponsorships for the 13th annual Fiesta con Sabor will benefit the ALALS Scholarship Fund. Tickets for the dinner event, which will take place in the law school’s lower atrium from 6:30 pm to midnight, are $10 for students and $30 for non-students.
ALALS will be selling tickets in the atrium on February 15, 16 and 17 and at the door on the 18th on a first come-first served basis. You can also reserve a ticket by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. | Read Story
