The Rutgers Law Record 2011 symposium will feature a discussion by education law experts on the impact of the No Child Left Behind Act on public education law, policy and practice. The event, titled “No Child Left Behind: 10 Years Later” and co-sponsored by the Rutgers Institute for Professional Education, will take place from 6 – 8:30 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Rutgers School of Law–Newark.
The focus of the symposium will be on emergent legal and policy issues, including: waiver; federalism and state and local control over education; revocation and reauthorization; school performance and achievement gaps; alternatives and possible reforms; and policy implications of the Act.
