U.S. News and World Report has ranked Rutgers School of Law–Newark number nine on its list of “10 law degrees with the biggest return on investment.” The determination is based on the amount of debt relative to first-year salaries in the private sector.
“Rutgers School of Law–Newark is committed to providing its students with the highest quality legal education at an affordable cost,” said Acting Dean Ronald K. Chen. “For the past three years, for example, as we have made enhancements to programs that will better prepare our students for the practice of law, we have done so without raising tuition. We are always pleased to receive recognition for the excellent value of a Rutgers J.D.”
