The Juris Doctor degree was conferred on 229 Class of 2014 graduates at the Wednesday, May 21, 2014 Graduate Recognition Ceremony for Rutgers School of Law–Newark, held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). Vice Dean Reid K. Weisbord, carrying the gonfalon, was first in the procession of faculty, university dignitaries, senior campus and law school administrators, and distinguished guests, who were then followed by Associate Dean Andrew Rothman ’90 leading the graduates on the walk from the law school’s home in the S.I. Newhouse Center for Law and Justice to NJPAC.

The National Anthem was sung by Wayne W. Cole, Class of 2014.
The Student Address was given by Leonard V. Jones, Class of 2014
The Faculty Address was presented by John R. Kettle III, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Intellectual Property Law Clinic.
The Convocation Address was presented by Dean John J. Farmer, Jr. (on leave of absence to serve as Senior Vice President and University Counsel)
The Presentation of Honors, Prizes & Awards was done by Diana Sclar, Associate Professor of Law and Allan Axelrod Scholar
