Federal Work-Study Program (FWSP) employment may be offered as a portion of the financial aid award to U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. Application for this program is made by filing the FAFSA
. Students in the law program may choose to work in the Rutgers School of Law–Newark, in the Law Library, in cooperating legal services offices off campus, or in other non-profit community service agencies. All jobs assigned through the FWSP are paid positions. Off-campus employment may be limited to returning students. Selection for a particular job is based on skills, job availability, university needs, and student preference. A completed Work-Study Job Application and an employment authorization form must be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid before employment can begin.
