Nadine Taub

S.I. Newhouse Professor of Law Emerita

Professor Taub received her B.A. from Swarthmore College and her LL.B. from Yale. She has a Diploma in Graduate Legal Studies from Stockholm University. She joined the Rutgers faculty in 1974. Professor Taub, the co-author of The Law of Sex Discrimination, wrote widely on issues of equality theory, reproductive freedom, and women and work. Her litigation victories included one of the first cases to establish the right to sue for sexual harassment and Right to Choose v. Byrne, the case that required the State of New Jersey to pay for abortions as part of its Medicaid program. Professor Taub was director of the Women’s Rights Litigation Clinic and also taught Civil Liberties and Constitutional Law.
